In an effort to remove blackheads, some people attempt bizarre ways of popping or squeezing them out. But doing so will make the condition even worse instead of reversing it. Blocked sebum can give rise to problems like scarring, if the skin is not treated properly. Also, with time, the open pores after removing the blackheads could attract germs & dirt resulting in breakouts. There are also might be chances that not all of them would be removed properly at first, leaving some behind, that may become infected later.
Fret not! You can adopt these natural home methods to get rid of blackheads without causing damage to your skin.
1. Oatmeal and honey:
Using oatmeal and honey to smoothen out the skin’s surface.
Wash your face with any good cleanser.
Take 1 tbsp of oatmeal with honey and mix well to form a granule like paste with medium consistency.
Apply the paste on the damaged skin. You can also apply it on the entire face for glowing, clean skin. Massage well for about a minute and then leave for some time.
After you are done, gently wash your face with mild water and pat dry. The honey in it moisturizes your skin deeply.
Repeat this process twice in a week to see visible results.
2. Gram flour (besan) with curd:
Besan and curd both have great exfoliating properties when it comes to deep cleaning of the skin. When combined, they form a great scrub to remove blackheads, whiteheads, dirt, impurities and breakout causing germs.
Take 1 tbsp of gram flour (besan) with 1 tbsp of curd. Mix both well. Add some honey if required.
Gently massage the prepared mixture on the skin with gentle strokes for about 1-2 minutes. Leave for few minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water.
Rub some ice to close the open pores once you are done.
Repeat this process twice a week to achieve good results.
3. Masoor dal powder
Masoor dal makes up a great beauty portion as it has skin cleaning and brightening properties.
Take 1 tbsp of masoor dal(with granules) with 2 tbsp of milk or herbal blend’s rose water facial mist and mix well.
Gently rub the mixture on the skin and massage. Massage it for about 1 minute and then rinse. Pat dry and put on a good moisturizer as it may cause dryness.
Repeat this process twice a week for desired results.
